About

Picture
3 Muddy Wheels is about off-road mobility scooting, in fact it's more about mental health than it is about getting out into the countryside, because for me it has transformed my mental health. Having taken 10 years to even admit that I needed mobility wheels I then discovered the real joy, yes joy, of off-road mobility scooting. For me I found it through hiring Trampers via Countryside Mobility hire. Since starting with hiring I have transitioned from a secondhand TGA Supersport, through Mini Crosser, to having a Tramper TWS built for me. You can read about the off-road mobility scooters that I think are worth considering here., and powered wheelchairs here, and manual ones here. Rather than leaping straight into owning an off-road mobility scooter I do suggest that you hire one, and so I've put together a list of places offering sessions at venues here. If you are not able to use an off-road mobility scooter or wheelchair yourself then a manual off-road wheelchair such as a Mountain Trike Push may be the answer, either to hire or buy, for someone else to take the strain, several National Trust, and other, properties have them to hire, see here.

I prefer the term off-road to all-terrain as, clearly, there is some terrain that is not suitable for any mobility vehicle.

'3 Muddy Wheels' is totally independent, you'll find no adverts, or anything for sale here, it purely exists to help you see if you can get out more.
